Becoming a host family is a very rewarding experience. It gives a young student the opportunity to learn and experience American culture in the comfort of "home." It also brings their culture to your family and your community, bringing the world that much closer. The exchange student will count on your parental guidance while giving them room and board while on exchange. We strive to have 3 host families for the student during their academic year. This gives the host family a 3-4-month commitment. As a host parent you will have the support of Rotary; District wide as well as with the local hosting Rotary club. Student safety, rules and conditions of the exchange, student insurance coverage and complete host family training are all part of District 7120's Youth Exchange program. We are a certified program and we follow closely the guidelines in vetting our volunteers and our host families.
